Maipo Theater

The Teatro Maipo is located in the City of Buenos Aires and has historically been one of the most important theaters in the city. Situated near the Obelisco, its auditorium has 645 seats. The theater was owned by former dancer Julio Bocca and theater entrepreneur Lino Patalano until the beginning of 2019 when it was sold to Enrique Piñeyro.

On May 23, 1933, actress Lola Membrives made her debut in this theater, joining a prestigious list of actors who performed at the Maipo during those years. Among these actors were Pepe Arias, Libertad Lamarque, Pedro Quartucci, Juan Carlos Thorry, and Florencio Parravicini.

Over the following decades, the theater maintained its splendor, hosting renowned actors and vedettes such as Sofía "La Negra" Bozán, Tita Merello, Nélida Roca, Niní Marshall, Nélida Lobato, Enrique Pinti, Tato Bores, Carlos Perciavalle, Moria Casán, Reina Reech, Antonio Gasalla, Susana Giménez, and Nacha Guevara.
